INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH STUDENT SYLLABUS 2026
Objetivos Gerais do Curso (Course Goals)
This course will allow students to learn and apply CEFR A2 level listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and strategies. Students will become competent in grammar and vocabulary appropriate to the CEFR A2 level. Students will move from CEFR A1 to A2 level.
Competências e Habilidades (Course Objectives)
Intermediate English students will learn to use the present continuous tense to describe current actions and simple present tense to describe habitual actions. They will be able to listen to slow, clear speech and respond by identifying topics of discussion, key details, specific information, order of information and specific tenses. Students will successfully engage in role-play conversations expressing events in past, present and future time. They will read and comprehend safety posters, schedules, and A2 level text and respond by answering questions correctly and identifying specific information. Students will respond in writing to prompts or pictures in a variety of ways, including simple sentences, related sentences, and embellishment.

Para avançar para o próximo nível, o aluno deve demonstrar domínio de 85% dos SLOs do nível. Domínio (Mastery) é definido como pontuação de 85% ou superior na avaliação de SLO. Pontuações de 75-84% são classificadas como Approaching Mastery, e 74% ou menos como Non-Mastery.
Os alunos podem recorrer de decisões de nivelamento e/ou notas e promoções de acordo com os procedimentos formais de recurso da ACE. Presença, esforço e outros comportamentos de engajamento não são considerados na avaliação de progresso acadêmico na ACE.
